Kanchenjunga Expedition

Kanchenjunga is also known by several spellings, such as Kangchenjunga and Kinchinjunga. It is the world’s third tallest mountain and is located inside the Great Himalayan Range. The massif of the mountain is made up of four peaks, three of which are above 8,000 meters high. Kanchenjunga I is the tallest peak, standing at 8,586 meters. Kanchenjunga West comes in second at 8,505 meters. Kanchenjunga South is the next highest peak at 8494 meters. Kangbachen, at 7,903 meters, is the lowest. The peaks are arranged in the shape of a cross, with each summit representing one of the arms. There are four major ridges that link the summits to neighboring peaks. Kanchenjunga’s ridges are teeming with glaciers.
